Unloading Truck

The semi arrived at 1:00 this afternoon. We went right to work unloading it. By 3:00 Ron was pulling out and heading back to Mississippi for the night. A huge thanks to Ron for donating the trucking for this house! Some planning took place for tomorrows work and then all headed back to the church for supper, which was delayed until the gas grill was put together!

Praise

Yesterday, Ron (semi driver) had bad roads in Tenn. The right lane had two tracks of blacktop showing and the passing lane was mostly snow covered. Another semi passed Ron and then lost control right in front of him, sliding around facing Ron and then rolled over into the ditch giving Ron room to pass thru. All Ron was able to do was to slow. Ron heard on the CB that the other driver was ok.

Perry, Betty , Durrell, Dan and Chris arrived in Lake Charles last evening. Joe, Scott, Marv, Johnny, Brendon and friend are getting close and Steve, Mitch, Dave, Adam and Tyler should also be arriving soon. John R, Ryan, Sara and Rachel fly this afternoon. The plan is to meet the truck around noon to get it unloaded.

Maple Grove Mennonite and Hartville Mennonite Churches have joint together to build a house for Jeremy McDainel in Cameron, La. In 2005 Rita came a shore in Cameron and then 2 years later Ike followed about the same path. Our planning is almost complete and it is time to get started.
